By Grace would like to offer those students interested in competing the opportunity to attend one or more dance competitions each year. Students interested in competing must tryout for the performance team. After tryouts, performance team instructors will make decisions for placement based on the judges' comments and other factors. Students will be eligible for group routines as well as solos, duets, etc.
In order to attend a competition, all members of the Performance Team must:
- attend weekly performance team practices
- take 2-3 ballet classes per week as decided by instructors
- be enrolled in tap, jazz, or musical theatre depending on routines they will be performing at competitions
- be current on all fees
- arrange weekly private lessons if wanting to compete with a solo, duet, etc.
By Grace would like to offer the opportunity for students to share their dancing ability with others. Performance team participants may be asked to perform in various performances including the recital.
