March Calendar:

1st – Tuition Due

5th – Adult Exercise Class begins

13th & 14th – Performance Team competes at the International Dance Challenge @ The Lied Center, Lawrence, Kansas 

20th - Performance Team performs at Spring Expo at UCM Multipurpose Building in Warrensburg 10:30-11:30

20th – Performance Team practice 12:30 p.m.

27th - Performance Team performs at Jefferson Gardens at 10:00 a.m.

27th -  Performance Team practice  11:30 p.m.

March 29th – April 2nd     Spring Break-Studio Closed

Adult Exercise Class:  The new session of adult low impact aerobic exercise will begin on Friday, March 5th. Come join the fun!

Performance Team & M.A.T.S. Team:  If you are interested in becoming a member of the Performance Team or the M.A.T.S. Team for next year, please let us know.

Spring Recital Update: 

Spring recital is scheduled for Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Clinton High School Performing Arts Center!  Just a reminder that the recital fee of $40 per family will be due by May 1^st.  You may pay this amount at any time prior to that date.  You will receive five recital tickets for this fee.  Tickets will be handed out at later date.

Pictures of the recital costumes are posted at the studio. Costume fees were due February 28th.  If you have not paid your costume fees, please do so ASAP.  Payment must be made in full before costumes will be delivered.  Please check at the front desk for your individual account balances.  Thank you.

Recital t-shirts: We will be selling recital t-shirts which are totally optional.  Information on these will be coming at a later date.

Recital DVDs:  The studio is trying to hire professional Carson-Swisher Photography & Cinemography to video tape our recital this year.  We will have a sample of his work to view at the studio as soon as we receive it.  We are asking that you sign-up to order a recital DVD and pay a $20 deposit by April 1st.  The price of the DVD will depend on how many we sell.  Please ask if you have questions.  The sign-up sheet is located at the front desk.  These are memories the students will keep for a lifetime.  Thank you.

TEAM UPDATES

Performance Team Update:  The Performance Team competed in its first competition of the season.  They traveled to the Chateau on the Lake in Branson to compete in the DanceMakers DMI Competition & Convention.  Group numbers as well as solos and duos were performed.  The students also had the opportunity to attend classes taught by Master Teachers from all over the nation.  Results are listed on the Performance Team page of this website.  Next competition is the International Dance Challenge in Lawrence, KS on March 13th & 14th @ The Lied Center.  The Performance Team is directed by Miss Vanessa, Miss Eva & Miss Dani.

M.A.T.S. Team Update:  The M.A.T.S. Team had five students this year that qualified to attend the Championship Meet on Sunday, February 28th, at Basehor-Linwood High School in Basehor, Kansas.  Complete results are listed on the M.A.T.S. Team page.  The M.A.T.S. Team is coached by Miss Vanessa, Miss Sylvia & Miss Tia.

Policy Reminders

Please remember to follow our studio rules: Wait inside for your ride, dress appropriately for class, no jeans, no jewelry, no gum, do not stand on the furniture, be on time, show respect to our teachers and other students.  Please remember that repeated absences affect your learning and performances. Try to keep absences to a minimum and let us know if you are going to be gone.

Students please remember that we are a Christian-based dance studio and that no rowdy or inappropriate behavior is permitted in the studio.  Let's remember our Christian values!  It would also be appreciated if the students would clean up after themselves; picking up trash, etc.  Thank you!!!!  Show respect for the studio property.  Also, no one is allowed in dance rooms without permission from an instructor or the front desk.  Thank you.

Just a reminder that if you are enrolled in a ballet class, you must wear appropriate attire.  That means a leotard, tights, ballet shoes, hair back out of face, and ballet skirts are optional.  Thank you.

Lost & Found

We have a lost & found box located at the front desk.  It is growing!  Stop by if you have lost an item.

School Closings

Just a reminder that if the Clinton School District is closed due to inclement weather, By Grace will also be closed.  Otherwise, we will have class.  Our schedule does not always coincide with the school.  Listen to KDKD if you have doubt.
